The Thrilling History of Chris and Stephen |
|
Chris and Stephen met almost ten years ago at a gathering of common
friends. Details are sketchy as neither realized where their lives
would lead them in the years ahead. Similarly, their "first date"
can best be summed up as one day when they found themselves alone
together watching roller-hockey on TV in August of 1998. They spent
the next five years in various stages of dating as they focused more
on jobs and school than the future of their relationship.
On New Year's Eve for the year 2004, they got together to watch the ball drop on TV. Stephen had a little surprise for Chris that evening that would chart the course of their future together. As he prepared the champagne glasses just prior to midnight, the charm put on the stem of Chris's flute was a ring. With ten seconds 'til midnight, Stephen approached her with the glass, and handed it to Chris as he dropped to one knee to propose. The rest of the night was spent by the fireplace after the appropriate phone calls were made. |
